Importantly we would like our clients to contact their representative in Congress and the US Senate to encourage legislation that would allow for modification of first mortgages to market value through chapter 13.
Discuss the hardship created for your family in losing a home in these difficult times. Perhaps had you been allowed to modify the first mortgage for your home it would have made its retention possible preventing hardship and heartache for the family.
